Cumberland to Harrington: he has communicated the king's orders to Königsegg, Waldeck and Kaunitz. He names the ten battalions he has chosen [to serve in Britain] as three of guards, Sowlses's, Pulteney's, Charles Howard's, Brag's, Douglas's, Johnson's and Cholmondeley's. Arrangements for their embarkation. The garrison of Mons is cut off from the army. 25,000 French troops to winter on the Moselle or in Lorraine. Escort for the returning prisoners.
