Description

Cumberland to Harrington: he has intelligence that the French are preparing to move 25,000 men to the Moselle. Disposition of French winter quarters. He encloses a disposition of the allied winter quarters [SP 87/18/59]. He encloses copies of his letters to Belle-Isle [SP 87/18/60] and Saxe [SP 87/18/61) complaining at the slow return of the prisoners. Retirement of Lt Colonel Moor and Major Ash. He welcomes the king's decision to employ the former garrison of Tournai. Dated at camp at Vilvoorde. ff. 123-125
