Chanclos to Crauford: he has come from Lowendal, who wishes to see Crauford urgently. It was impossible to embark the garrison. He asks for a senior officer to command the garrison out of Ostend, as he wishes to join the army. 'Commander Smith' is bearing money, for which he encloses 2 receipts, and a copy of the capitulation. Dated at Ostend. ff. 83, 84
