Description

Ligonier to Harrington: he has declared to the court that the change of ministry will not affect the prosecution of the war. He has communicated the king's speech from the throne to Arenberg and Caunitz. Austrian fears of French designs on Cologne. Placing of the forage magazines. Inability of the Austrians to support their troops without subsidies. Dated at Brussels. PS. on the sudden illness and death of the archduchess [Maria Anna]. His fears that the Austrian Netherlands may be left defenceless. ff. 235, 236
