Carteret to Wade: the archduchess has represented to the king that the army should attack the enemy and seek subsistence and winter quarters in French territory. Wade, in concert with Arenberg and Count Maurice, is to bring the enemy to action immediately. Attacking the enemy is more important than the provision of siege materials by the Dutch.
