Description

Colonel Borch to Baron Wendt (copy): on receipt of Wendt's letter, he sent the enclosure from Arenberg to the magistrates and demanded their declaration. He is told that it is under consideration. They have refused to supply firewood, which the troops have to buy for themselves. The hospital is charging him to treat his sick and wounded; he requests instructions on this. He encloses a state of the garrison [SP 87/14/118]. Preparations for defence. Expertise of Colonel Yssell of the artillery. The townspeople's partiality for the French. Dated at Tournai. ff. 200, 201
