Wade [to Carteret]: arrival of Dutch and Austrian troops has brought the army's strength to 41 battalions and 85 squadrons. He encloses the resolutions of a council of war held by Arenberg [SP 87/14/76]. Detachments have been sent to stop Count Saxe laying bridges across the Scheldt. He encloses the route of the second detachment [SP 87/14/77], as the whole army is to follow it the next day. The cavalry drafts have arrived and he hopes they will join the army at Oudenaarde.
