Extract from the register of resolutions of the states general of the United Provinces: Baron Cronstrom has been informed by Königsegg that the Austrians can send no more troops to the barrier towns, and that the Dutch should reinforce them so as to enable all the auxiliary troops to join the campaign. Their understanding is that allied troops in the Austrian Netherlands are there for the defence of all the low countries. ff. 92, 93
