Wade [to Carteret]: the second council of war has taken place. The Austrians proposed marching to the vicinity of Mons, to prevent its investment. There were objections on the grounds of lack of forage, and the prince asked those making them to put them in writing, which has been done. He encloses a copy [SP 87/14/50] of those of the British and Hanoverian generals. After the papers were read, it was agreed to assemble the forces near Brussels. Dated at Brussels. f. 78
