Wade [to Carteret]: news being received of Fénélon's threatening posture at The Hague, Prince Charles [of Lorraine] has assembled the general officers in Brussels. It was decided to march all the troops that could be assembled to Cambron, near Mons. The hussars quartered in Brussels have left for the frontier to observe the enemy. The French generals have joined the army and it is said that quarters are being prepared for the king at Cambrai. Unreadiness of the allies. Dated at Brussels. ff. 66, 67
