Ligonier [to Carteret], enclosing a letter from the commanding officer at Nieuwpoort [SP 87/14/16]. Königsegg has told him that the French at Dunkirk are all disembarked, and the Dutch fear an attack on Blankenberg. Dated at Brussels. PS. that the French have stopped all correspondence between Dunkirk [and the Austrian Netherlands]. He encloses an account of the battle of Toulon from the Brussels Gazette [SP 87/14/17]. ff. 24, 25
