Description

Runaway 'Slaves' in island of Margarita; refers to his letter of 17 November where he wrote of his intention to propose to the Commodore on this station the sending of a ship of war to island of Margarita to 'claim in a formal manner, thirteen Runaway Negroes'; reports the Scorpion Sloop of War commanded by Captain Bayly was destined for this service; ordered Brigade Major Leith to give Mathew's letters to Don Miguel Gonzalez Davila, Governor of Margarita, and also for Don Juan Guillelmi, Captain General of the Caraca's; various related enclosures.
