Description

Acknowledges Secretary of State's Circular letter of 6 March, with two papers of additional Heads of Enquiry enclosed; will not detain this packet for answers to these as it is impossible to quickly get satisfactory information; transmits an extract from the Minutes of the Court of King's Bench in Grenada, 'relative to the Tryal, Sentence, & Execution of a White Man for the Murder of a Negroe' [White man sentenced for murder called Richard Brigstock also called Richard Preston, murdered woman who was enslaved called Anna Ritta]; transmits a Schedule of Ships which have imported 'Slaves' into Grenada since its restitution in 1784, specifying their date, Vessels and Master's name, tonnage, from what port, gender of the 'Slaves', sellers of 'Slaves', and proceeds of the sale.
