Transmits a copy of a statement of the inhabitants of Grenada at different periods signed by Arthur Leith; statement gives statistical information on the years 1763, 1774, 1777, 1783, and 1787 and gives information relating to for example 'Whites', 'Free Coloured', 'Negroes', 'Born Subjects', 'Adopted Subjects', French, English, 'Slaves', 'Children of Slaves', 'Superannuated Slaves'; reports that in January 1785, according to lists given upon oath to the Treasurer, there were 23,926 'Slaves'.
