Copy letter from the Commissioners of Victualling to the Navy Board. Samuel Lowman, Controller of Customs at Montserrat, asks to be reimbursed for money expended for the support of the crew of the Cubb Sloop drove in there by bad weather. Commissioner Knowles bought the vessel for watering ships in Antigua to replace the Sea Flower that was lost. Gives the amount plus currency supplied to William Williams, Gunner of the Ludlow Castle Hulk and a sum to Warner Tempest, Naval Officer at Antigua, for which he refused payment. Mr Lowman sent a letter from William Williams, Captain James Campbell, Commander of the Fame Sloop at Antigua with an account of the application of the money and recommend reimbursement on oath.
