Thomas Corbett. Receipt of extract letter from Commissioner Falkingham who informs the Admiralty that there is no timber, plank or knees in store at Port Mahon to repair the defects of the Folkestone and a copy survey of her and a letter for Mr Varlo, Master Shipwright at Port Mahon to Commissioner Falkingham. Have sent a copy of the surveys to Elias Bird who built the ship and to the Deptford Officers who inspected the building. Report on the findings of the survey and possible reasons for the decay in a ship lately built and do not think the contractor or Overseer can be charged with neglect
