Thomas Corbett. Lieutenant Crosse, 1st Lieutenant of the Feversham, was sent out to procure men but when he returned to Spithead, the ship had sailed to the Mediterranean and he was ordered on the Sutherland Hospital ship with men to assist in fitting her out and from there into the Dartmouth for Gibraltar to meet his ship. Admiral Haddock informed him that he had appointed another Lieutenant. On 1st of October he made him 3rd Lieutenant of the Pembroke and requests his wages are made good and those of his servant until the time he was made 1st Lieutenant of the Pembroke. How he stands on the books. Lieutenant Davis is born as Lieutenant on the Feversham for the time Lieutenant Crosse wishes to be paid so he cannot be borne on those books and recommend he is paid by bill from July 1741 to the following September
