Thomas Corbett. Report on the application of Alexander Bennett, the owner of the Two Brothers) for freight for taking forces from North Carolina to the West Indies. The Charter Party of October 1740 between Gabriel Johnston, Governor of North Carolina and William Orchard, Master of the Two Brothers, shows she was hired for three months at least and was to be paid until her discharge with pilotage and port charges. She was then used to carry provisions from Jamaica to Carthagena and taking lime from there to Port Royal for the hospital, as ordered by Commodore Stewart. Colonel Edmondstown certified the first claim and the lime was receipted by Mr Hind at Jamaica. Recommend the claims are allowed
