Copy letter from Michael Wilkins Conway. Procured hay at Margate but left it behind when he sailed. We came into the road on Tuesday and anchored. Twenty-one of the fleet cut their cables in a gale and got in safely. Nine are still in the Road. Yesterday eight ships were disembarked and the rest should be complete today. Has agreed with two fishermen to take up the anchors and cables and will ask Captain Swanton to assist. We had a hay storeship with us which assisted
