Report of Daniel Parker Coke on Jaras Siddons convicted at the Derbyshire Quarter Sessions in January 1798, for larceny, no other details. There is a letter from the Duke of Portland to the Chairman of the Quarter Sessions of the Peace for the County of Derby requesting a report. Grounds for clemency: previous good character, has already served more than 12 months and good behaviour during confinement. Initial sentence: 7 years transportation. Recommendation: speaks in favour of mercy; annotated 'Free pardon 20 Decr 98'. Folios 335-338.
