Letter from Evan Napean, of the Admiralty Office on Samuel Warner, convicted at the 'late Maidstone Assizes' [Kent Assizes], for stealing naval stores from the Thames at Woolwich, on 13 March 1798. Initial sentence: not given. Recommendation: 'their lordships do not think it right to receive this Man into the Navy or to recommend any Mitigation of his punishment'. Folios 133-134.
