Letter from B. Headford, prisoner (on board a Woolwich hulk) to his brother, John Headford, tallow chandler, Surrey. He asks for herbs to make tea, a blanket to keep out the cold and for assistance in his case. He would welcome a visit by his brother but his mother is not to come because of his poor condition. Mr Woodfer[?] has been to see him and has given him 5/-. In a postscript he wishes 'my duty' given to his mother and love given to his brothers and sisters. Folios 27-28.
