There is a covering letter to the petition from Daniel Parker Coke, MP and a letter from Millicent Sharpless to Mr Coke. Grounds for clemency: youth (11 years) afraid of the sea, suffers from fits caused by smallpox, the prisoner is of weak constitution, a tradesman is willing to take prisoner on as an apprentice and the distress of his honest parents. Initial sentence: 7 years transportation. Folios 143-149.
