Report of John William Rose, Recorder of London, Recorder of London, on Benjamin Morgan, apprentice to umbrella shop owner David Moore, convicted [at the Old Bailey], for stealing sticks and other articles, value 18/-, property of David Moore from his shop in the Strand, London. Evidence from Mr Davenport, hairdresser. Prisoner was seen opening a drawer with picklock keys. Initial sentence: not given. Recommendation: no mercy. Folios 4-5.
