Report of Nash Grose on a representation by the Kent Grand Jury, regarding James Biggs, Margaret Anderson, Richard Marsh, William Flinn and William Ford, convicted at the Kent Assizes at Maidstone, for various [unnamed] felonies. Grounds for clemency: exemplary conduct at a time when several other prisoners escaped and the prison saved from fire. Initial sentence: Biggs and Anderson, 1 years hard labour; Marsh, Flinn and Ford, 6 months hard labour. Recommendation: free pardon.
