Report of Edward Bearcroft, on the following prisoners capitally convicted at the 'last' Chester Summer Assizes:
1. Thomas Jones, for burglary, recommended to transportation for life.
2. Thomas Smith, for stealing above 40/- in a dwelling house, recommended to 14 years transportation.
3. John Bradbury, for stealing above 40/- in a dwelling house, recommended to 7 years transportation.
4. William Hughes, for burglary, recommended to 14 years transportation.
5. James Hampson, for horse stealing, recommended to 3 years hard labour.
Also John Boydell, convicted at the Chester Spring Assizes in 1790, for felony, sentenced to 3 years hard labour, recommended for a free pardon. Folios 151-152.
