Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick to Holdernesse: as he has been asked to give details of Lord George Sackville's behaviour at the battle [of Minden], he encloses a relation of the battle to demonstrate Sackville's dereliction of duty [SP 87/37/18]. He also encloses some correspondence between himself and Sackville after the battle [SP 87/37/22-24]. The English officers requested by Sackville to testify in England are already there. One of the Germans is ill, but he will send the other two. Dated at Paderborn. ff. 34, 35
