Holdernesse to Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick: the king wishes the treaty with the Duke of Brunswick for reinforcements to the army to be made as king [rather than elector] and Holdernesse encloses a draft [SP 87/36/38] of the amended treaty. The tenth article has also been amended for parliamentary reasons. Granby and General Durand have been named as the British plenipotentiaries. The advance of 60,000 ecus is ready. Dated at Whitehall. PS. that Durand may return to England after signing the treaty. ff. 121-123
