Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick to Holdernesse: he fears that feelings at the court of Vienna are not for peace. Marshal Daun is in a strong position, and if he can find subsistence for his army, will not be driven out of Saxony. He expects the hereditary prince to return with his corps in February. Strength of the French in the coming campaign. If Holdernesse has any news of Versailles, he is eager for it. Dated at Paderborn. ff. 19, 20
