Description

Acknowledges receipt of letters; reports he will observe commands of 'His Majesty' regarding the 'suppression of the fugitive Slaves' if the Governor of Dominica requires assistance; reports he forwarded Governor Orde some Artillery Stores and that by the last accounts 'they had killed or taken about 40, among whom were the two chiefs, of the barbarous Party, which attacked Rosalie, but I am afraid the entire suppression of the different Gangs, still In the Woods, will be tedious, expensive and difficult.'
