Description

Reports further on Colonel Gordon and the barracks, a 'subject of Embarrassment and Difficulty'; forwards letter Colonel Gordon to Lucas about expenses and materials for barracks; reports that without Lucas' assistance the work must stop as Colonel Gordon refuses to have anything to do with them if his regulations are not complied with and Lucas states 'the Contribution in Negroes and Artificers provided by the Island must be lost'; forwards copy of Colonel Gordon's estimates of carrying on the works for six months.
