Description

Acknowledges receipt of Circular letter of 30 April, with enclosures, and letter of 2 June; reports there are four soldiers of the 60th Regiment under confinement in the public gaol; Mr. Taylor has not yet returned to Grenada; situation of the barracks; transmits Speech to the Council and Assembly and their addresses; reports that the spirit of the Colony has been greatly checked by letters from their Agent who speaks very doubtfully of the intention of the government to provide an adequate force for defence of the island; transmits the Monthly Return of His Majesty's Forces on the Island of Grenada for 1 July 1785 with state of the Black Corps.
