Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick to Holdernesse: his regret at the death of Wolfe. The Württemberg troops are on the march and have crossed the Main, but are being delayed by a dispute over their subsidies [from the French]. The Saxons are being reinforced by Prussian deserters, who are encouraged by the elector of Mainz. Dated at Krofdorf. ff. 63, 64
