Description

Draft; acknowledges receipt of letters with enclosures which he has given to the King; reports he is totally at a loss what instructions to give Mathew regarding the disposal of the three soldiers of the 60th Regiment who have been sentenced to imprisonment and the only place which they could be sent as a further punishment is the coast of Africa, where he states none of His Majesty's Troops are now serving, and the merchants interested in the trade of 'that country' have already avoided receiving persons under similar circumstances from 'this country'; will communicate to the French Minister the information about the demands made upon Mr. Taylor, the Proprietor of the Estate at Grenada called L'Anse des Palmistes; reference to barracks for accommodation of troops.
