Holdernesse to Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick: the difficulties of making up the losses sustained by the British battalions at Minden. He has had an extract made from a letter from Belle-Île to Contades, and suggests Ferdinand sends it to his brother, the reigning duke. If he should decide to raise extra troops, the king will take them into his pay. Dated at Whitehall. ff. 125, 126
