"The Anatomy of the Aeroplane."
"The fuselage is the body if the aeroplane which houses the crew, guns, bombs and other equipment and is suppoted in the air by the wings. Here is the fuselage of a small aircraft, seen suspended by itself and freed of all external attachments. In this aeroplane the engine is in the nose, whereas in larger aeroplanes the engine would be placed not in the fuselage but in the wings as will be shown here. Not the scooped-out portion on the underside where the wings fit in."
