Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick to Holdernesse: his pleasure at the victory in Gaudaloupe. He does not know whether Contades, now at Paderborn, where he will find food and forage scarce, will lay siege to Lippstadt or advance. Since Colonel Boyd cannot take musters at present, he has been put into Lippstadt because of his experience of sieges. Dated at Rietberg. ff. 92, 93
