Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick to Holdernesse: the French army which was victorious at Bergen is now retrenched along the Main, and he attributes this to Prince Henry's entry into Franconia. Speculations as to their intentions. A detachment from the army has driven the Austrians who were between Fulda, Coburg and Bamberg across the Main. The new corps of Hessian artillery will soon be ready, and he has found a way to reimburse the landgrave the expense of raising it. Dated at Ziegenhain. ff. 73, 74
