Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick to Holdernesse: he does not believe that a French/imperial attack on Brunswick through Hesse is feasible while he holds Münster and Lippstadt, but this would not stop their army on the Main. He doubts the enemy would attempt an expedition against Britain unless they could count on the Netherlands. Dated at Münster. PS. on the expulsion of the British and Prussian residents at the circle of the lower Rhine and Westphalia. His high opinion of the British resident, Cressner. ff. 33-36
