Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick to Holdernesse: arrival of a large corps of Austrians on the Werra and the Fulda and speculations as to their intentions. He encloses a copy of a letter from Colonel Parker to General Waldegrave. Parker is asking for artillery and gunners, neither of which he can spare, and he does not think the Swedes would try to damage the entrance of the Ems. Perhaps a couple of small warships might be sent. His shortage of cannon and gunners; he proposes turning grenadiers and militiamen into artillerymen. Dated at Münster. ff. 20-24
