Description

Holdernesse to Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick: the king's pleasure that the landgrave of Hesse has accepted the £60,000 on the given conditions, although he continues his claims. He is also satisfied that the king of Prussia will not recall his cavalry. There appears to have been an event of importance on the Oder. Satisfaction of the British troops to be serving under Ferdinand's orders. Dated at Whitehall. ff. 51-53
