Description

Petition of the Proprietors of the Island of Tobago; that Dominica, St. Vincent, and Grenada have already been captured by the French, greatly apprehensive that Tobago will be also if troops are not immediately granted for its protection; states that Island is more important to the nation than is perhaps generally known as two million sterling have already been expended in its cultivation and already produces 5000 hogsheads of sugar besides rum, cotton and indigo; also is the only West Indian island Britain possess that is out of the latitude of hurricanes; signed by W.
