Description

Since he is extremely ill, Ferguson is only able to transmit a copy of his letter dated July 24 [not in item], Mr. Lincoln's Bill [not in item], Minutes of the Council [not in item], and A State of the Island taken last April; states that nothing particular has occurred since his last letter; also reports troops have been very sickly and continue to be so; A State of the Island table includes: names of the parishes and divisions, whites resident, acres cleared land, 'negroes' present, runaways not accounted for, horned cattle, mules and horses, and crops expected this year.
