- The petitioners complain about taverners from Southwark and other foreign towns who buy wines in London at a higher price than the assize that has been proclaimed, in expectation of selling them outside the city, where there is no assize, at their pleasure. They ask that a reasonable price might be established in other towns with relation to the price in London, allowing for the costs of transporting the wines.

Note (Additional information about the record)
- No date given on the guard- probably later Edward II from the hand. This is obviously the second or later of a group of petitions on one piece of parchment. It has been dated to '? c. 1324' on the grounds that it might have been attached to SC 8/120/5985 and SC 8/120/5991B.
