Good people of London, and also the women of London not protected by husbands.

Nature of request
The good people of London state that in the last Eyre at the Tower of London the ordinaries of London were convicted of offences going back twenty-four years, of feigning false occasions for summoning the good people of London before them in Court Christian and extorting money from them. Judgment has not yet been given, and they ask the King to order that this be done, so that the people of London might have peace from such oppressions.The women of London not protected by husbands state that they should appear before the ordinaries only in cases of adultery and incest, and this by the indictment of good people, but that the ordinaries are having them summoned by accusation: for which they request a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
[On face] Pro rege.[On dorse] Coram magno consilio.With regard to the first, the justices are to be ordered to proceed to give judgment. And if anyone feels himself to be injured, he is to have a prohibition.
