Kyngeston requests payment for fish bought from him for the king's household by Godington and Turk in the 12 Edward II for which he has bills.1)

Let it be ordered to the treasurer and barons that when they have viewed the bills, and if they find that the king is answerable then they are to do justice, and if not then they are to summon the purveyors before them and do justice.2) Coram rege.

The petition is speculatively dated to? c. 1324 on the basis of the guard comment, though no supporting evidence is given. The petition is endorsed in French so is likely to be after 1322. The petition has to be after 1319 as it makes mention of 12 Edw. II. It is not clear whether the petition is contemporary with SC 8/120/5958 or not.
