Nature of request
William de Carlisle requests that the grant of the Archdeaconry of Meath to Andrew Daundon not be ratified, and that the office be returned to him. He states that he had been appointed to that, and had since sued writs against Daundon to recover it. He asks that the king take into account his long service to Edward III in Ireland, and also a similar case involving a dispute over the presentation to the church of Desborough.
