- The holders of knights' fees in Kent complain that although the king has ordered that the wages of the knights going to Parliament should be levied in common from all tenants in the county, the sheriff has only levied them from people holding lands by military service. Some have said that this is the special custom of the county, but they say this is not so, and ask that the proper practice be observed.
