Nature of request
The petitioners ask for justice in their case against Robert de Hamelden and his fellows, who they claim broke into the house of Christiana de Salyngg in East Bedfont on 14 March 1342, and stole four written obligations, containing details of sums owed to Walter, Christiana and Roger de Salyngg, and returned them to the debtors. They have tried to seek justice, but are denied this due to the maintenance of the Abbot of Westminster.
