Nature of request
The Prior states that he has lost goods, chattels, lands and tenements in Ulster and elsewhere in Ireland through the activities of the Scottish enemies of the king, and their Irish and English allies, to the value of £1000. He therefore requests that the king grant him the forfeited lands of Michael de Kylkenan and John FitzNicholas, as compensation for the great damage suffered by the Hospitallers.
Nature of endorsement
Let the Justice be ordered to enquire into the true value of the land in time of peace, of whom it is held, and certify to the king the truth of what is discovered.
